How to lose weight walking.

It is a well know fact that walking is extremely beneficial to our bodies and can help you lose weight. Besides the weightloss factor we also experience a feeling of 'wellness' and have more energy. This is because of the natural endorphins our bodies release. These 'feel good hormones' make us feel kind of europhopic and energised.

How much exercise to lose weight?

By starting a gentle exercise regime, walking for about 30 minutes a day, five days a week, you will soon reach your weight loss goal. Walking for weight loss, will build more muscle tone, give you more energy and help you lose weight fast. The important thing to remember when you are walking is to make sure your walking at a fast enough pace, speeding up your heart rate and increasing your body temperature. These two factors are extremely vital in your weight loss plan as this is what makes us burn more calories and thus get rid of our excess body fat.

Whilst your walking, make sure you can still hold a conversation, if you find this impossible, you are walking to fast. You should aim to be slightly out of breath but still able to speak. Walk at a 'determined' pace and you will find that this is fast enough for you to burn calories and lose weight. As with all exercise programmes, building up a bit of a sweat is essential in your diet plan.

Getting in shape-

When you begin your daily exercise, don't start off at a fast speed, start off quite slow. This will send signals to your heart and muscles that you intend to do some exercise. Your body will begin to prepare for the exercise by sending out signals and releasing adrenalin into your body. After about 5 minutes increase your walking speed to a pace that is right for you, your body will be in optimum, calorie and fat burning mode by this time.

Starting off slow is also a warming up exercise, your muscles will not be in quite so much shock when you begin to walk faster. This is especially true if you are not used to doing any form of exercise.

Exercise Tips-

Remember to drink plenty water as you are walking, this will keep you hydrated and will make sure your body is in optimum calorie and fat burning mode.

How much exercise to lose weight?

If you are walking to lose weight, you should be aiming at walking, 30-60 mins a day, five days a week.  Remember, little and often is better than no exercise at all. As long as you are walking the minimum 3-4 hours a week, you will soon see a difference to your body shape and your overall weight loss.

Your work out schedule should consist of gentle, moderate exercise. If you can't be bothered one night to go out and walk, make sure you do some stretching exercises at home or maybe some arm exercises. You can do this with a large tin of beans or anything that makes you arms feel like you are working out. You don't have to spend money on gym equipment ( this usually ends up in the corner of the room anyway) You can do resistance exercise using anything moderately heavy thats around the house.

You can contine with your work out plan the next day, theres no harm in having one or two days off. By putting in the effort and following an healthy eating plan and being committed to gentle exercising, you will find that you will lose weight quickly. However, do nothing and nothing will happen. For me, walking has helped me achieve my perfect figure, i'm not perfect but my body looks alot better than it did and although i have a little cellulite, it is not as noticeable.
